HDR

View from bed

“HDR is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.”

I’ve been playing around with high definition range imaging (HDR) for a while now and I think I’m starting to get the gist of it. The tendency is to go over the top and produce really weird looking images with un-natural colors. Some work but a lot don’t. Search for HDR in Flickr and you’ll see what I mean.
I like to believe the casual browser wouldn’t realise my photos were HDRs. For in depth info and loads of examples on on how it’s done visit stuckincustoms.com.
